Beans and Arthritis

Partly, I blame myself for the pain arthritis inflicted to my mother last week. I cooked chili cor carne as part of our Media Noche and all the leftover food served as my parents’ viands for the following days.

Mom started complaining of pains around her neck and both shoulders and she knew right then and there it was her arthritis on attack. (She has rheumatoid arthritis.) Sick No More

What if the fever gets worse? What if that family member doesn’t recover soon enough to attend to the more important things in her life? In the case of my sister, I worry about her studies as she’s currently taking summer classes. She even has exam on Friday and I think she hasn’t started reviewing yet.
